WHNPA Golf Outing
The
WHNPA Annual Golf Outing will be held at Andrews AFB West Course on Thursday,
May 9th, at 9 am. This will be a first tee event, with foursomes teeing
off every eight minutes starting at 9 am. The cost for golf, cart and
luncheon will be $75. The format will be 4 person scramble, (best ball).
Each player must use at least 3 of his or her drives for the 18 holes.
We also need hole sponsors ($100 per hole). Signs announcing the hole
sponsor will be posted at the tee box of each sponsored hole. Golf will
be followed by a gala luncheon and awards ceremony. (Cold cuts and hoagies)

Last year we had close to 60 players, and the golf outing was one of the
highlights of the WHNPA Dinner weekend. Let's try to make this year's

Directions
to Andrews AFB from:
BALTIMORE: Take BWI Parkway towards Washington for approximately
20 miles. At the 95 interchange take 95 south towards Richmond. Take Exit
7 (Branch Ave/Rt 5 S. / Waldorf). Follow Route 5 to the Coventry Way exit.
At the traffic light off the exit ramp, make a left and get in the right
hand lane. At the next traffic light, make a right onto Old Alexandria
Ferry Road. At the 2nd traffic light make a left into the Virginia Ave
Gate
WASHINGTON: From The US Capitol, take South Capitol Street out
of Washington. South Capitol Street changes into Suitland Parkway. Take
a right onto Branch Ave/Rt 5 S. Follow Route 5 approximately 6 miles until
you come to the Coventry Way exit. At the traffic light off the exit ramp,
make a left and get in the right hand lane. At the next traffic light,
make a right onto Old Alexandria Ferry Road. At the 2nd traffic light
make a left into the Virginia Ave Gate.
NORTHERN VIRGINIA: From Fairfax, Springfield, and Alexandria take
95 north towards Baltimore. Go across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Take
Maryland Exit 7 (Branch Ave/Rt 5 S. / Waldorf). Follow Route 5 to the
Coventry Way exit. At the traffic light off the exit ramp, make a left
and get in the right hand lane. At the next traffic light, make a right
onto Old Alexandria Ferry Road. At the 2nd traffic light make a left into
the Virginia Ave Gate.
For all tournament participants - your name will appear on a gate list
with the Gate Security Police. Proceed up to the Gate Guard for clearance
on to the Base. Make your first left and the Golf Course parking lot will
be on your right.
