VIRGINIA STATE FINALS

1,054 high school runners from across the state participated in the 2009 Virginia State Cross-Country Championship meet at Great Meadows in The Plains, Va., on Nov. 14, 2009. Girls and boys competed separately in three divisions each, up and down hills, across meadows, and through water beds to complete the 3.1-mile course.
