CONTINUOUS WAR: CLUSTER BOMBS IN SOUTH LEBANON
Almost five months after the end of the fight between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah movement, a cluster bomblet exploded in the home of 17-year-old Rasha Zayoun, mangling her foot beyond repair. According to the United Nations,in the last 72 hours of the conflict with an imminent ceasefire looming, Israel dropped an estimated 90% of 1.5 to 4 million cluster bombs used in the whole war. Many civilian areas such as residential neighborhoods, schools, farmland and even hospitals were heavily contaminated. Dozens of civilians have been killed since the ceasefire and a few hundred, like Rasha Zayoun, have been maimed.
