Still living in a FEMA trailer in the front yard of his destroyed home in Biloxi, Mississippi, Lionel Burbridge remembers how his sister held his hand in the swirling waters until she could hold on no longer.
"My sister got away from me. Imagine how I feel, you can't do nuthin' to help no body. My sister had just turned 70 years old, 24th of August. After the water left our house, I finally found my sister, by the front door, laying on her stomach."
The coroner came for her body 48 hours later.
