IF YOU BUILD IT, WILL THEY COME?
For most of the United State's 2000-mile long border with Mexico, there are no guards, no manmade barriers, no...nothing. It is little more than an imaginary line in the sand. Yet for the Republican sponsors of a proposal to build a 700-mile long, this barren landscape is a symbol of vulnerability.
