GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - FRIDAY FEB 25 at 7 pm

The next general membership meeting will be Friday night, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m., at National Geographic. We’ll hear presentations from some of the contest judges. Also on the agenda will be the Nominating Committee presenting its slate of candidates for election to the board. In January president John Harrington appointed Ron Sachs, Alex Wong and Jon Elswick to serve on the committee.

If any active or life member is interested in running, please contact Ron, Alex or Jon. This is your association and we need volunteers to step forward. Get involved. We need you! Nominations will also be accepted from the floor during the meeting. Positions that are annually voted on include: president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. There is one seat open for a still member of the executive board and two for video (the second one resulting in Fletcher Johnson’s retirement and will be for a term of one year).

PLAN AHEAD

Plans for the 90th annual gala are underway for May 14, 2011, at the Ritz Carlton. This will be a big weekend for graduations in the city and there is also a large medical convention in town, so hotel rooms will be very tight. We are arranging for rooms at a couple of different hotels in the area and we will post information soon. If you think you will need a hotel room don’t wait.
